ABOUT

Allaah (subhaanahu wa ta’ala) says in the Holy Quran in Surah Al Imraan (Chapter 3) Verse 185:
كُلٌّ نَفْسٍ ذَأءِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ

“Kullun nafsin dhaikatul maut”
Every soul will taste death.
It is a fact that no one can deny. It is only a question of time when we depart from this world.
We should therefore, prepare for our death by doing good deeds to please Allaah (subhaanahu wa ta’ala) so that we can attain Jannah in the life hereafter.
We also want our funeral to be held in the best possible manner and in accordance with the shariah.
The grieving family at the time is always under considerable stress.
Alhamdulillaah, over the years we have taken care of the funeral of our deceased brothers and sisters very well through NZMA and SAMA. Now we have some new organizations that have also started with funeral services.
The largest part of costs of funeral is the cost of the plot. The plot which had cost us $2000 years ago are now almost $4,000. This will keep increasing over time.
The idea of starting a Burial Society is to create a fund which can be used to assist its members and other needy persons by paying his or her funeral expenses.
The Society is not going to replace or take over what NZMA and SAMA are doing. It will only assist families of the deceased with funds for funeral costs.
With a robust membership the Society can build a very healthy fund which can be used to purchase a large number of plots at today’s cost. This way we can keep the funeral cost down in the future.
The Society is also thinking of purchasing land for our own private cemetry for the future. If we have sufficient members and funds this may be possible, Insha Allah.
