MEMBER TYPE

The Board has decided that the following categories of membership options will be available to anyone who wants to join the Society in the next two years (upto end of 2020)

OPTION 1  –  LIFE MEMBER  
Pay a lump sum of $5,000 per person (INDIVIDUAL MEMBER)  or $10,000 for wife and husband and all dependent children (FAMILY MEMBER). This offer is valid until 31 August 2018. We encourage all those over 65 years to take the advantage of this offer. It gives a savings of over $1500 on the present funeral costs. FULL FUNERAL COSTS WILL BE PAID BY SOCIETY. ALTERNATIVELY, you can become a member and pay the levy in installments as long as it is paid within 12 months to take advantage of this offer OR you can choose option 3 and those rules will apply. 

OPTION 2  –  PREMIUM MEMBERS
Pay a lump sum of $6,000 per person (PREMIUM INDIVIDUAL MEMBER) OR $12,000 for wife and husband and all dependent children (PREMIUM FAMILY MEMBER), if you pay after 31 August 2018 and before 31 August 2020. FULL FUNERAL COST WILL BE PAID BY SOCIETY

OPTION 3  –  ORDINARY MEMBERS
Pay by instalment at the rate of $50 per month or $600 per annum or any other rate until you reach the maximum amount of $7,200. If you choose to pay at the above rate you will have paid $7,200 over a 12 year period. The funeral costs 12 years from today would be much higher than $7,200. IF DEATH OCCURS WITHIN TEN (10) YEARS OF JOINING, SOCIETY WILL PAY WHATEVER  YOU HAVE PAID AS LEVY PLUS $1,000 ON TOP OF THAT. IF DEATH OCCURS ANYTIME TEN (105) YEARS AFTER DATE OF JOINING, SOCIETY WILL PAY FULL FUNERAL COSTS.
OPTION 4
Any one joining after 2020 will have to pay a levy to be fixed by the Board depending on the funeral cost at the time. The above options may be replaced with new options.

THE LEVY, WILL INCLUDE 1/5 AS MEMBERSHIP FEE AND 4/5 AS DONATION. A RECEIPT WILL BE ISSUED ACCORDINGLY. YOU CAN CLAIM A TAX CREDIT FOR YOUR DONATIONS TO A CHARITY.

These options will appear in the membership form to be filled out by anyone joining as a member. You will be required to circle the option you choose.
